CHANGE OF OPERATIONAL COMMANDERS - A REVOLT AGAINST PUTIN? (2023 01 16)

"The Ukrainians have proved that if there are weapons, they will finish the job", declared British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley. "It is time to step up and continue and accelerate the support that Ukraine needs... Our Ukrainian friends have shown by their courage and perseverance that if they have the means, they will do it", the politician said. According to Cleverly, the Russian army is stuck on the defensive and its morale has plummeted due to the "confusion in Russian military logistics".
According to Cleverly, none of the Russian operational commanders in charge of the February 2022 invasion has held up their end of the bargain, which is why the UK has decided to step up and increase its military support and intends to supply up to 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine.
As for the arms shipment, it is a definite, long overdue and excellent move. As for the change of operational commanders... this is a simple Moscow misdirection tactic, a psyop on which most politicians and military "experts" still fall for. All those changes of personnel, the "disagreements in the Kremlin", the regular rocking out, are all eyewash. All the generals continue to serve Russia loyally and continue to destroy Ukraine. The spectacle of external change is, in our opinion, being created precisely to give us the illusion that something will change very soon in Moscow, that we need to wait a little longer, that Putin will be defeated and that we will all breathe a sigh of relief. These are all illusions that are delaying the precious time of support for Ukraine. This is what all the Kremlin-hired 'oppositionists' - bloggers working undercover outside Russia - have been trumpeting to us since the first days of the war. The collective Putin acts as a well-coordinated coercive machine of the GRU and FSB. Let us not fool ourselves and have no illusions about rapid change.
A large number of political analysts have repeatedly predicted an armed coup in the Kremlin over the past year. That did not happen, and the day-old masses, fortunately for them, have forgotten about it. The number of those dissatisfied with the collective Putin is shrinking by the day, as thousands, and soon millions, of Russians will be given an 'appointment' to work in the Ukrainian war.
Yesterday, combat training for Ukrainian forces began in Germany, with the participation of the US military. A battalion of around 500 troops will train there over the next eight weeks. The aim of the exercise is to better prepare Ukrainian forces for an offensive or to counter any Russian attack. It will improve the movement skills and coordination of company and battalion-sized units in combat using combined artillery, armoured and ground forces, as well as training in the use of Bradley armoured personnel carriers.
Mark Milley, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that comprehensive training in inter-group weapons interoperability and tactics for Ukrainian troops will contribute to their ability to regain territories seized by Russia. "This support is really important for Ukraine to defend itself. We hope that we will be able to do everything here in a short period of time," Milley said. The General will visit the exercise to make sure everything is going according to plan. The US has already trained more than 3,100 Ukrainian troops throughout the war.
In order to get as many heavy weapons to Ukraine as quickly as possible, we need to understand that a powerful weapon is just a piece of iron that needs to be mastered. More importantly, it is about the interaction of different capabilities.
It is reported that if Germany decides to supply Leopard tanks, it will take a year. Rheinmetall has 110 decommissioned Leopards of the first and second model in its warehouses, but its management has stated that it will only be able to hand over the equipment to Ukraine in 2024. The group has 22 Leopard 2 tanks and 88 Leopard 1 tanks. However, these tanks still need to be prepared, requiring several hundred million euros, and no order has yet been placed.
Let us not rush to 'wash' German officials, because this is initial information and Berlin is expected to take a decision on the supply of Leopards this week. Let us hope that it will not take a year from words to deeds.
Putin said that Russia's "economy is stable". He said that "after the West imposed the toughest sanctions in modern history because of the war in Ukraine, the Russian economy has shown remarkable resilience, but the world's largest producer of natural resources is now turning more and more to China". According to Nusmurgelis, "unemployment is at a historic low. Inflation is lower than expected and, importantly, on a downward trend".
The world's No 1 liar and terrorist can now spout whatever comes to mind. Putler can say that the economy is growing, that he has 99% confidence and other nonsense, knowing full well that 140 million slaves have no choice at the moment.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on another 198 Russian celebrities - artists and propagandists: the film director Andrei Konchalovsky, the singer Yuri Loza, the sociologist Yevgeny Kopatko, the German writer and journalist Vladimir Sergienko and others.
The Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatyana Moskalkova, said she has received a video of two Russian prisoners of war being tortured and plans to report this evidence to international organisations and the Russian Investigative Committee. Moskalkova claims that the "horrific video" was shown to the mothers by anonymous people demanding ransom from the mothers of the tortured men.
Moskalkova called on her colleague in the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the UN Committee against Torture, the European Committee against Torture, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Committee of the Red Cross to urge Ukraine to comply immediately with the Geneva Convention of 1949, which prohibits torture, violence and outrages upon personal dignity.
While thousands of asthmatics and degenerates have invaded other people's homes, raping mothers, killing children and shooting fathers, the pig Maskalkova is demanding that the Geneva Convention be respected in respect of them. Yes, the Geneva Convention applies to soldiers and combatants. For terrorists, under the laws of terrorist Russia itself, the Geneva Convention does not apply.
The UK is looking into information that Russia is planning to raise the upper age limit for conscription from 27 to 30. Andrei Kartapolov, head of the Russian State Duma's defence committee, has said that the move would allow a 30% increase in the previously announced size of the Russian forces. Putin is reported to have said last year that he favoured such a move, and Russian officials are now likely checking the public's reaction.
We are being asked what we think of the scandalous statements made by a prominent 'expert'. We do not think anything of such statements and similar statements by similar 'experts' and we do not evaluate them in any way. We have mentioned that these are positive stories, like myths or other narrative epics, they have a sacred and ritualistic meaning of appeasement, and therefore their creator and narrator are not to be regarded as a source of real information. He can be seen as an artist, and it is the right of every citizen to choose the genre or the creator that suits him.
Operational level
According to Putin, "the military operation in Ukraine is characterised by positive dynamics". Terrorist No. 1 believes that the "special military operation" is showing positive trends and hopes that Russian troops will make further gains after Soledar. "And I hope that our fighters will make us even happier with the results of their struggle," Putler said, jubilantly wiping out yet another small Ukrainian town.
While the Russians claim Soledar is occupied, sources report that fighting around Europe's largest salt mine is ongoing, but Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from the centre of town.
This year we will see a variety of war dynamics. However, this is a signal not only to Kyiv but also to the West, that the Ukrainian army lacks front-line, modern weapons to stop the enemy. We dare say that the Ukrainian army also lacks troops for permanent rotation.
Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has issued an official statement saying that the country's air force does not have the forces or means to destroy the X-22 missiles, one of which hit a house in the city of Dnipro. On Saturday, five X-22 cruise missiles were fired from five Tu-22/M3 long-range bombers of the Russian Air Force into Ukrainian territory. The missiles were fired from the Kursk region and the Sea of Azov.
One of the X-22 missiles was fired from the Kursk region at around 15:30 and hit an apartment block in Dnipro. Since the beginning of the Russian military aggression, more than 210 missiles of this type have been fired into Ukrainian territory. None of them has been shot down. The mass of the X-22 warhead is about 950 kg. The maximum range is up to 600 km. When using a missile from long range, the deviation from the target can reach hundreds of metres, and given the capabilities of the curved-wing missiles in Russia, several kilometres.
In this case, we have no doubt that the strike on the Dnipro housing estate is the Kremlin's response to the heavy weaponry sent by the West. The fact that sending main battle tanks will cost civilian lives was threatened by the Kremlin only recently. Ukraine urgently needs heavy anti-aircraft weapons, which will soon be discussed at the so-called Ramstein Group meeting.
New Russian attacks have led to emergency power cuts in most parts of Ukraine, Energy Minister German Galushchenko said. On Sunday, Ukraine's energy facilities were still recovering from the 12th wave of large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure in recent months. Yesterday, operator Ukrenergo said energy infrastructure was "being restored", but the attacks "increased the energy deficit".
Joint exercises of the Armed Forces aviation units with Russia started today in Belarus. The aim is to improve interoperability in joint training and combat tasks. All airfields and ranges of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defence Forces are participating in the exercise. During the exercise, the Belarusian and Russian militaries will train in aerial reconnaissance, joint patrols in the border airspace; provide air support to troop groups; and conduct tactical airborne landing, cargo delivery and casualty evacuation.
This is an introduction, a preparation for real military action.
Tactical level
Last day, Russian terrorists carried out 2 missile strikes and more than 55 rocket attacks on civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhya, Dnipro and Kherson oblasts.
The Russian occupiers are carrying out offensive actions in the direction of Bakhmutsk and Avdiv, with heavy losses of manpower.
Over the past day, units of the Defence Forces have repelled attacks by the occupiers in all directions.
In the direction of Zaporizhzhya, the Russians shelled Ukrainian troop positions in the areas of more than 24 settlements with tanks, mortars, barrel artillery and reactive artillery.
In the direction of Kherson, the shelling continues to target settlements along the right bank of the Dnieper River. 17 settlements were hit and the Red Cross building in Kherson was hit by the shelling.
Ukrainian aviation has struck 9 enemy live-fire sites and 2 air defence installations over the past day.
Defence Force rocket and artillery units struck 1 checkpoint, 6 areas of manpower and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot and 1 enemy radio-electronic warfare device.
In the Belgorod region of Russia, a Russian soldier carelessly lobbed a grenade, causing an explosion in a local cultural centre. Three people were killed and 13 were injured. The dead and wounded are Russian conscripts.
Controversial from the direction of Svatov-Kremina. The Ukrainians are reported to be advancing, but the Russians are trying to counterattack. The occupiers have closed the entrance and exit of the occupied towns of Lysychansk and Rubizhne.
